Valley Fish Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Methow Valley Fish Report<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Steelhead is open and the fishing is awesome.\u00a0 Bright two salt fish have been keying in on pink bead head egg sucking leeches and pink bead head egg sucking stone flies.\u00a0 Most of the fish have been caught in slow walking pace water.\u00a0 The water was a chilly 48 deg.\u00a0 Dress warm.\u00a0 Due to the high water flow, the fish are spread out all over the river and as high up as Winthrop. \u00a0I have also added a screen shot of the water flows for more detailed information (see floating line with a dry skating fly works well early in the season.\u00a0 7-8 wt floating line with a sinking line for swinging.<\/p>\n<p>Summer River Gear:\u00a0 4-5 wt dry fly hopper\/dropper set up, a deep stone fly nymphing rig with a strike indicator and a 6-7 wt sinking line with a big bugger\/nymph set up.<\/p>\n<p>Lake Gear: 3-4 wt dry fly rig (damsel or callibaetis) and a 5-6 wt sink Lake<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 CLOSED &#8211; Open Apr. 27 &#8211; Sept. 30.\u00a0 Heavily stocked with nice sized fish.\u00a0 All game fish statewide size\/daily limit.\u00a0 Good boat launch.\u00a0 Surface
