{"id":821,"date":"2013-05-13T11:57:48","date_gmt":"2013-05-13T18:57:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.flyfishersproshop.com\/blog\/?p=821"},"modified":"2013-05-13T11:57:48","modified_gmt":"2013-05-13T18:57:48","slug":"methow-valley-fish-report-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.flyfishersproshop.com\/blog\/2013\/05\/13\/methow-valley-fish-report-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Methow Valley Fish Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Methow Valley Fish Report<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This week, the lowland lakes climbed in temperature making for challenging mid-day fishing.\u00a0 Pearrygin Lake was 70 deg and the fishing was slow.\u00a0 But, using a sink tip and a heavy bugger I was able to get down and find some fish.\u00a0 Today is a different story.\u00a0 The temp has backed off and the lakes should come back to life as the clouds cover the sun and a little rain helps out the hatches.\u00a0 Chronomid fishing would be a good bet as the hatch emerges. \u00a0 Use a 5wt rod with floating line and let the flies sink slowly.\u00a0 Slowly retrieve the flies back while keeping an eye on the fly line.\u00a0 If the fly line begins to straighten out, strip set and hopefully a fish ate your bugs.\u00a0 There have been some callibaetis hatching so I have been using a tan damsel nymph pattern (see below) that also looks kinda&#8217; like a callibaetis nymph.\u00a0 \u00a0 Experiment with colors and sizes to dial in what the fish want.\u00a0 High Rock Ranch is open to fishing and the bite has been good.\u00a0 This private, spring fed lake is holding some nice size fish.\u00a0 I had a blast sight fishing with size 20 emerges.\u00a0 Call the fly shop for more info.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions about my report, reply to this post down below.\u00a0 I will answer your questions as soon as possible.\u00a0 Tight Lines &#8211;
