As mentioned in my previous fishing report I\u2019ve been burning through the bugs as fishing has been pretty dang good and since it decided to be cold for a few days I\u2019ve been getting some work done at the vice and I thought I would share a couple of my favorite patterns for this time of year.
\nFirst \u201cLeaf\u2019s not so Perfect Golden Stone\u201d as they are in the drift year-round they also work year-round for Steelhead and Cutthroat alike.<\/p>\n

\nSecond a couple variations on the classic Chironomid both are red ice cream cone head one is a double and the other a single. Most people know of Chironomids as a lake fly originating in B.C. where it was developed for fishing Kamloops and Girard rainbow trout but they are also a deadly Steelhead fly as well.<\/p>\n
